The materials for the glass beads commonly produced in Java are all made from discarded glass products such as window glass and bottles that are collected and distributed for reuse.

In order to create raw glass with the desired color tone, we first select pieces of multiple colored glass pieces from inventory, mix them together, add special dyes to adjust the color tone, and heat and melt them with a gas burner. Once it is evenly melted, the molten glass is stretched into a rod shape to create the "glass rod" needed to make beads.

This is the completed glass rod. The length is 2-3m.

Creating round glass beads using finished glass rods. The white substance coated on the top of the iron rod inserted into the gravel at the far left of the screen is called a mold release agent, and is applied in advance to make it easier to remove the finished glass beads from the iron rod.
